Terms of Service

The rules of using Flash Budget, in plain language: what the app does, what it deliberately does not do, and what each of us is responsible for.

Who we are

Flash Budget («the Service») is operated by Kyra Zeah Sapanta, an individual based in the Philippines («we», «us»). Contact: support@flashbudget.app, XPERIENTIAL SPOT, Sitio Centro, Purok Palata, Basdiot, Moalboal, Cebu 6032, Philippines. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

What the Service does

Flash Budget is a personal finance tracker. You enter your own accounts, transactions, categories and goals; the Service stores them, converts amounts into your base currency and shows statistics. The Service is not a bank, is not a payment institution and does not hold, move or have access to your actual money. Transfers «by username» move numbers between records inside the app — they are not real money transfers.

Not financial advice

The Service is an informational tool. Nothing it shows — statistics, forecasts, totals, currency conversions — is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. You are solely responsible for decisions you make based on the information you see. Consult a qualified professional where appropriate.

Exchange rates and crypto prices

Rates come from third-party sources and are updated on a schedule (fiat roughly once a day, crypto several times a day). They are indicative and may be delayed or inaccurate. You may also enter your own rate manually, in which case the figures are based on your input. Converted totals are estimates and must not be relied on for accounting, tax or trading purposes.

Your account

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your password and PIN confidential and for everything done through your account. Provide accurate registration details and keep your e-mail address current — it is used for password recovery.

Your data

The records you create remain yours. You are responsible for their accuracy. You can export your transactions to CSV and delete your account with all data at any time from Settings. How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

Sharing with other people

If you open accounts to a family circle or send a transfer by @username, the people involved will see the data described in the Privacy Policy. What you choose to share, and with whom, is your decision and your responsibility — we cannot un-share what another person has already seen. Records of transfers between people are bookkeeping between you two; the Service does not settle, guarantee or enforce them.

Acceptable use

Do not use the Service unlawfully, do not attempt to access other users' data, do not disrupt or overload the infrastructure, do not scrape it or resell the data it provides (including exchange rates, which we receive under third-party terms that prohibit redistribution).

Paid features

The Service is currently free, and prices shown on our website are indicative until paid plans actually go on sale. Existing functionality that you already rely on will not be moved behind a paywall without prior notice, and anything you have already created stays yours even if a free limit is introduced later. Where paid features are sold inside the mobile app, purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store, and payment, billing and refunds are governed by the rules of those stores — we do not process card payments ourselves.

Availability and «as is»

The Service is provided «as is» and «as available», without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, and we may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it. We keep backups but do not guarantee that data can always be restored — export important records yourself.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or losses arising from decisions made using the Service, from inaccurate exchange rates, or from loss of data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms or applicable law, or that threatens the security of the Service or other users.

Changes

We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the last change. For material changes we will notify you in the app or by e-mail. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and disputes are subject to the courts of the Philippines. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer rules of your country of residence.
